Tasing is much better Dricus du Plessis clears air around coachs questionable training m

Dricus Du Plessis is set to defend his UFC middleweight belt against Israel Adesanya this weekend at UFC 305. The champion hopes to defeat Adesanya and enrich his MMA legacy. The fight will take place in Perth, Australia, where the crowd mostly supports Izzy. However, Du Plessis doesn’t really care as long as he has his coach with him.

Recently, Dricus Du Plessis’s coach went viral for using a taser to punish his fighters. According to head coach Morne Visser, the taser is his assistant coach. Since then, there have been several questions regarding coach Visser’s method. When asked about it, Du Plessis mentioned that it’s just Visser’s way to keep his fighters in check. Surprisingly, it has been like this for the last two years.

Coach used to leg kick us. He has a very strong leg kick. If you make the mistakes continuously, after he’s warned you a couple of times. But that takes you out of training. Not out of training, but it makes training difficult for a couple of days as he has a very hard leg kick. So the taser is much better than that, because the taser hurts a lot more in the moment but it’s over quickly.

The champ explained how his coach uses his taser when a fighter makes a mistake. This consists of not keeping his guard up, having a wrong foot position, etc. While it may look bizarre to others, it did work for Du Plessis. DDP believes it has helped him become the world champion.

Dricus Du Plessis has been training under Morne Visser for a long time and trusts his coach with almost anything. While kissing each other may not be the best idea, everything else has worked wonders for the duo. It will be ‘StillKnocks’ first-ever title defense, and he has already done a great job breaking Izzy’s confidence.

Dricus Du Plessis becomes the undisputed trash talker to make his opponents cry

Going into the fight week, the animosity between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis was already heightened. Given their history regarding the ‘Real African’ beef, fans are expecting a tremendous showdown this Saturday night.

When they finally met on the media day, the trash-talking didn’t see any limits as both fighters started thrashing each other. During the whole presser, DDP took the win by making Izzy cry with his insults from referencing past incidents. Something similar happened when Du Plessis fought Sean Strickland, making the American fighter mad and emotional with his trash talk.

Israel Adesanya is well known for being passionate and giving one-liners at press conferences. However, it was the first time he couldn’t control his tears after Du Plessis made fun of him. Nevertheless, Izzy didn’t try to hide his tears and promised to bring hell to DDP this Saturday. It will be interesting to watch what transpires when both these fighters finally get inside the octagon.
